Patricia MacPherson’s historical adventures are now available as a set, from Fireship Press. They’re available in trade paperback and electronic format as well as audiobooks from Audible.com. The cover art is by Jennifer Quinlan, a.k.a. Jenny Q, who is known for her cover designs for historical novels. With the Patricia MacPherson series I wanted covers to entice young adult and new adult readers into the historical, nautical setting.
Fireship Press published Barbados Bound and Surgeon’s Mate, based on my novel Star-Crossed (Alfred A. Knopf, 2006). The third book in the series, Rhode Island Rendezvous, was originally published by Old Salt Press, an author-owned consortium of which I am one. I recently transferred publishing rights to Fireship to keep the series together as a fleet. I believe this is in the best interest of the series as a whole, for its exposure and marketing.
The new edition of Rhode Island Rendezvous includes an updated author image by Colorado-based photographer, Sheila Zappanti.
